Grammarly has become a household name for anyone writing on the internet.

It is everywhere.

With promises of helping you write better, faster, and more clearly, it’s not surprising that millions of people use it to polish their work.

But there’s a growing case for stepping away from it entirely.

What was once a helpful tool has become a distraction, riddled with unnecessary features and constant reminders to upgrade to premium.

Is it time to leave Grammarly behind?

Yeah, I think it is.

From Helpful to Overbearing

Grammarly’s initial appeal lies in its ability to catch simple mistakes.

When I first started using it, I wasn’t confident in my writing, so it made sense to let Grammarly handle the technical stuff while I got to focus on being creative.

Grammarly had your back: typos, grammar errors, and the occasional unclear sentence.
