How Mediavine and others are policing your content for low-quality AI

A cautionary tale: If you’re using AI to create content, use it sparingly — it might cost you your livelihood otherwise.

“This is a huge shock for me,” reads a recent Reddit post dated Wednesday, September 4.

The post includes an email from Mediavine, a prominent advertising agency that helps thousands of bloggers monetise their content.

The Mediavine representative is clear and direct:

“Due to this, we will be moving forward with terminating your account for each site — effective immediately.”

The urgency is unmistakable.

Mediavine is taking a firm stand against low-quality AI content, aiming to distance itself from it entirely. And who can blame them? Why would advertisers spend their budgets on content that lacks value?
